The National Hospital of the Faroe Islands
The National Hospital of the Faroe Islands is the main hospital in the Faroe Islands and has approx. 20 specialist areas and 170 sleeping accommodations. Specialist consultancy is arranged in many other specialist areas, so that doctors abroad can be a part of the treatment of the patients at the National Hospital of the Faroe Islands.
The hospital´s task is to examine, treat, nurse and rehabilitate patients. The hospital has an emergency preparation plan 24 hours a day in all the large specialist areas. The hospital´s duty is also to be a part of the educating doctors, nurses and other health employees.
